Steve Jobs
I made the Apple products that saved us all. The iPod, iPad, iPhone and Macs, which were once called the Macintosh. When I was a kid I loved fixing cars with my dad. I had my own work bench and used it to create things that I was interested in. My friend Steve Wozniak or “Woz” made stuff just like me. We made a company called Apple in my parent’s garage. This is where it all started. We built machines that would soon become part of daily life, just like cars and TV sets.
My Life
I was born on February 24, 1955 and was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs. Three
years later my parents adopted a little girl named Patti. Patti and I got along very well. I love my dad who was a mechanic. He taught me to fix cars and electronics in our garage. We lived in Mountain View, California which is now known as Silicon Valley. At school I hung around with other kids who loved computers, they introduced me to Steve Wozniak “Woz”.

The Company Started
Woz and I started a company called Apple Computers. The company was not well known. One of the first things we made was a computer called the Apple. I called it this because I ate fruit and apples were my favorite things to eat. Our first computer was a big box computer that had no color and no sound but had a monitor and keyboard. The computer sold great. Our next computer the Apple II had color, clear graphics, and sound. That sold very quickly too. The company grew quickly. I wanted to get a guy that wanted to be a part of my company even though the Apple products were doing great. The person I wanted to work for Apple was John Sculley. Sculley was the president of Pepsi-Cola Company before coming to Apple.
Trouble at Apple
In 1984 I made the Macintosh computer. The Mac sold good at first but was
expensive. Sculley did not like this and did not like my ideas. I tried to get rid of Sculley but the Apple board fired me instead. So I made a new company called NeXT. The company NeXT had a group of good guys that knew a lot about
computers. But the company lost millions of dollars because the computers were
too expensive and didn’t sell. I also made a company called Pixar. This was my
3rd company. Pixar made animated movies for Disney.

A Return to Apple
Apple was not doing well. I wanted to go back to Apple and talk to my friends. Well,
my dream came true and I returned to become the head of Apple again in 1996.

Even More Apple Products
I was on a roll with Apple. I made so much stuff like iPods, iMacs and iPads. I had a cell phone that did not work that well so I made the iPhone. The iPhone is the best phone there is now in my words. People use it for work and just for fun. They use it for fast Google search`s and to have a small computer that fits in your pocket.
The End
Then one day I went to the doctor for an appointment and found out I had cancer. I
was very sad and disappointed but could no longer work and stayed at home with my wife and daughter.

Influence on People
Steve Jobs died on October 5, 2011 of cancer. People were so sad they cried. To remember him some people placed candles in the shape of Apple’s logo on the sidewalk. People left bitten apples on the ground and placed sticky notes on Apple store windows. Everyone felt that Steve Jobs had changed the way they lived.
Fun Fact
