Childhood
My name is Pablo Picasso. I was born in Malaga, Southern Spain on October 25, 1881. When i was born the nurse thought i was dead, because i was so still. The docter had a pipe in his mouth, so he took it out and blew the smoke in my face, i let out aloud wine. thats more like it the docter said. I lived with my grandma, my two aunts, my father and my mother. My father, Don Jose, was an art teacher and an artist, He didnt sell alot of his work. so he took a job at a museum, to restore paintings. One day when Don was at work. I tried to say my first word(pencil). On Cristmas night, a earthqake struck Malaga. Don rushed to the house to his wife and me. We ran and dodged falling buildings. Don led us to a freinds studio. That night my mom gave birth to my new sister lola.
School
Time for school, urged my mom. I dont want to go! I said. its damp and gloomy and the teachers are strict. My dad had to carry my to school. I was kicking and screaming the whole way. But as soon as the lesson started, i dashed to the window, i hoped to see my uncle, he lived on the opisite side of the school so i could call out to him so he could be rescue me. In desperation my parents sent me to another school, but i still wasnt happy there. Don came home with upseting news, he said that he got a new job and we had to move to La Coruna. I was so upest i painted a picture of the harbor that i lived by. To suprise, i loved the my new home. At my new school if i got in trouble i would be sent to the calaboose-a bare room with a bench. I always brought my sketch pad with me. "it's not a punishment it's a pleasure.
The Blue Period
Then something happenn. My paintings looked alot different then all the others. My best freind died, and i felt alone and sad, at the same time none of my work was selling. I almost starved to death. Because of my mood i started to paint with blue in alot of my pictures ( blue can be a very sad color). I made all the people in my painting look sad or lonely. The blue period stoped when i met a girl named Fernande. Me and Fernande fell in love. And alot of happier colors started to show up in my new paintings. Now thats how the beginning of the Rose period happend.
Death
I died in France, at the date of 1973. And lived to be 92 years old.
